Munster Junior Cup Result : St. Mary’s 3 - St. Michael’s 4.

Hard luck to our gallant junior team who lost out by the odd goal in 7 to a very good St. Michaels team at Mary’s Park this evening.

After going 1 down midway through the first half, our lads kept working hard and got a deserved equaliser through a Josh Lombardi header before half time. It was 1 all at half time.

Michaels took the lead right at the start of the second half with a penalty. From there, St. Michaels showed their quality and tagged on 2 more goals to leave it 4-1.

However, massive credit to our lads who never gave up. We got back into the game with late goals from John Paul O’Sullivan and ........ to make it 4-3. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts we couldn’t find the equaliser.

Well done to our lads on a great performance and effort. Well done also to St. Michael’s and we wish them all the very best in the rest of the competition.
